About Therapeutic Botox

Botulinum toxin (Botox) is not just for fixing wrinkles!! Botox naturally relaxes the muscle and when used therapeutically in dentistry can help manage issues like gummy smiles, clinching, teeth grinding, headaches and TMJ disorders.

Therapeutic Botox Process

1
Evaluation

At your evaluation the doctor will discuss your concern and palpate muscles that may be responsible for dental complications, pain or trigger points (shooting type pain that can cause other sites to hurt)

2
Diagnosis

The doctor will review the areas of concern and dental complications they may be causing. A treatment plan will be presented and you will be encouraged to ask questions.

3
Treatment

Treatment is quick and requires no numbing. The botox is delivered with tiny insulin type syringes.

4
Follow Up

After 2 weeks you will be seen for a follow up visit to confirm adequate muscle relaxation was achieved.
